ASBA Celebrates and Honors Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day!
It’s important to recognize the significance of Martin Luther King Jr., and why many of us are given the day off from school or work. MLK Jr. was a humanitarian, a civil rights icon, and an activist. So this year, how can we make sure to reflect on what MLK Jr. Day truly represents, and why we recognize Martin Luther King Jr. as one of the most important historical heroes.
Instead of taking this federal day off for granted, let us encourage each other to reflect on the holiday’s importance and MLK Jr.’s accomplishments. And of course, think about what the holiday represents for human rights and black history.
