A Message from ASBA President, Kathy Knecht

KathyIt is such an honor and pleasure to be serving as the 2016 President of ASBA. As we work together to meet the challenges and celebrate the accomplishments of our school districts, we are unified in our belief that our kids and our communities are worth the time and effort inherent in our service to our public schools.

This year, I hope you will join me as we continue to celebrate heroes of education, both the unsung heroes who give their time and energy working alongside our students in schools and those alumni of our systems whose achievements as adults reflect on the effectiveness of our districts.

We hope you will continue take advantage of the amazing resources developed by ASBA under the leadership of Past-president Rubalcava and recognize your local heroes of education at your local meetings and county meetings next fall. In addition, we will be reaching out for nominations of notable alumni of your school districts so that we can demonstrate and celebrate individuals who we’re proud to call “products of public schools.” Put your thinking caps on now and watch for further communications.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me personally, and I hope to see
you soon.
