What Does Board Leadership Look Like Across Arizona?
ASBA Mini-Documentary: Meet Former Board Member Mary Worker from Tuba City USD
Research shows that community leadership is one of the five key works of school boards that can impact student achievement. The documentary videos in this series will amplify and clarify the role of individual board members as community leaders who can strategically motivate, persuade, inspire, inform and make connections outside the board room in a strategic and visionary manner that benefits the district by generating public and family support.
Throughout this year, ASBA will tell the stories of current and former board members who are initiating conversations beyond the board table, with parents, neighbors and community leaders on enhancing family engagement, business and civic engagement, collaboration and advocacy.
These are their stories. Meet Mary Worker, a former board member from Tuba City USD and former ASBA Coconino County Director.
