The show must go on, virtually! Law Conference transitions online
We have good news and bad news. First, the bad news: It is with great regret that we have to announce the cancellation of our in-person 2020 Law Conference, which was scheduled to take place at the Camelback Inn, Sept. 9-11, 2020. We have to put the safety of our members first and with the COVID-19 pandemic continuing to be a growing health crisis, we simply cannot hold this event in-person.
BUT, here’s the good news! We will still be having a Law Conference over virtual platforms and you can expect the same type of highly informative content that has made the Law Conference ASBA’s most highly attended event. The event will include general sessions that are “must hears” for everyone, and breakout sessions that will enable you to customize your Law Conference experience, just like you’re used to doing.
Conference dates will remain the same as well, with a pre-conference on Sept. 9, and the main conference on Sept. 10-11.
Registration will still be open on Tuesday, July 7. You will see that the registration price will be much less and reflect the fact that our event will be virtual.
Arrangements for the ASBA Delegate Assembly, typically held at the same site on the day following the Law Conference, are being finalized.
More details on both these events will follow.
Resolution condemns racism, affirms commitment to equity
The ASBA Board of Directors passed a resolution on June 26 condemning racism and affirming the association’s commitment to equity. A customizable template that mirrors the ASBA resolution is available to member district boards that wish to pass a similar resolution.
