ASBA’s Employee Handbook Services

Arizona School Boards Association has prepared this concise and accurate handbook as a tool to provide clear expectations of employment and supports growth and development of employees for member school districts.

ASBA offers an employee handbook model document that addresses conditions of employement and related topics important to district employees. The purpose of an employee handbook is to advise employees of important aspects of the district’s unique culture and organizational mission. It serves to communicate conditions of employment, conduct and behavior.  The handbook outlines organizational expectations consistent with local board policies. The handbook model can be locally customized to meet the needs of each district and maintain consistency with district board policy.

Additionally, the handbook provides employees with guidance regarding specific questions that may arise as a member of the staff. This helps defend against employment claims presented to the district, aid in organization and consistency in the workforce and provide for a common need to be informed and be a productive member of the team

Please keep in mind that this is not a replacement of a district policy manual.
