SB 1664 failed by a vote of 13-16 on the Senate floor this afternoon!

This bill would have imposed civil liabilities on school districts or other governmental entities that enforced “Gun Free Zones” on which a person was harmed by criminal conduct.

Disencentivizing school districts from keeping guns off campus for fear of increased civil liability is not the right way to increase school safety.
