ASBA Summer Leadership Institute

June 11, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm

ASBA’s Summer Leadership Institute will be held virtually June 11. Registration now open.

This summer conference encourages school boards and superintendents to get away together to help expand their learning on diverse topics and current educational issues.

Even though we won’t be in Flagstaff, this event is still a great way to work as a board team with your superintendent in leadership areas. An administrative assistant track is also provided. You will also have an opportunity to collaborate with your own counties.

Materials and Zoom login details will be emailed to all attendees June 8 before the virtual event. Please check your spam inbox if you do not receive it. This information can be found on the website for this event.

Please contact Katie Link at klink@azsba.org or call the ASBA office if you need additional assistance at 602-254- 1100 OR 1 -800-238-4701.

speaker

Neil Staker

President and Founder of Collaborant

Neil Staker can be a boring guy. He hasn’t seen a movie since the Reagan administration. Ask him what he likes to do for fun, and he’ll answer: “Yardwork.” (Seriously.) But talk to him about people, organizations, or improvement and out of that dull cocoon a fascinating butterfly will emerge. He’s turned his tightly-wound practicality into a decades-long career helping organizations and the people in them be better at collaborating, communicating, resolving, motivating and engaging.

Personable, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful, Neil Staker has a Masters of Organizational Behavior degree from Brigham Young University and a quarter of a century of experience in organizational development. Neil is known for his clear, approachable and interactive speaking style. He has taught communication skills to thousands of people including leaders from American Express, Symantec, Cerner, UMB Financial and Monsanto.
