Arizona voters will consider Proposition 320 in November, a ballot measure that would change how many school districts are required to allocate operational spending.
Join education leaders from across Arizona for a virtual conversation examining what Proposition 320 would require and what the measure could mean for school districts, students and communities.
Jimmy Arwood, ASBA Director of Governmental Relations, will provide a brief overview on the proposition and then will moderate the discussion. Panelists include:
- Jill Broussard, Pinal County School Superintendent
- Jill Barragan, Assistant Superintendent of Business Operations, Paradise Valley Unified School District
- Mitra Khazai, ASBA President and Madison Elementary School District Governing Board Member
- Dr. Kimberly Guerin, Superintendent, Madison Elementary School District
- Ruben Diaz, Superintendent, Baboquivari Unified School District
The panel will discuss the proposed 60% direct instructional spending requirement, how districts would be required to move toward compliance and the potential implications for school budgets and operations.
Parents, educators, school board members, administrators, education organizations and community partners are encouraged to attend and learn more about the measure before the November election.
