Wednesday Webinars: Tools for Embedding Multi-Cultural Perspective into Curriculum

March 24, 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Todays textbooks are written and published by a small handful of people and companies. In recent years, textbooks have come under scrutiny for being presenter from a single perspective that is not representative of the histories and contributions of the diverse people in our country. There has been an increase call for more inclusive text that would more fully incorporate the experiences of all people in this country. Furthermore, a growing body of research has shown that students respond when they see themselves represented in the classroom. The challenge for most districts is how to go about incorporating multi-culturalism into school curriculum. Join us as we hear from a panel of experts on resources and strategies to embed multi-cultural perspectives into district curriculum.
