2018 Legislative Workshop

Registration Fee – Main Workshop, November 16

The $150/person member registration fee includes access to online materials, continental breakfast, snacks and lunch. Non-member registration fee is $300/person.

Registration Fee – Pre-Workshop, November 15

The $120/person member registration fee includes access to online materials, lunch and snacks. Non-member registration fee is $240/person. AASBO and ASA members: If your school district is a member of ASBA, you qualify for the member registration fee.

Registration for both workshops closes on Friday, November 9, 2018. This is also the date for cancellations to be submitted. On-site registration will be accepted at an additional cost of $50.

For reservations at the Sheraton Crescent Hotel, call 602.943.8200 no later than Wednesday, October 31, 2018. The ASBA conference room rate is $125 single/double. To receive the conference rate, please mention the ASBA Legislative Workshop.

Cancellations for both workshops must be in writing and faxed to 602-254-1177 by Friday, November 9, 2018. No Shows will not be refunded. Those registered are entitled to send substitutes in their place.

The Big Picture: Government and the Economy

All are welcomed to attend!

If you wonder how all levels of government work together and what you can do to affect change, this is the workshop for you! We’ll cover how they impact public schools, the Arizona economy and budget, and how to engage in meaningful advocacy. Plus…learn strategies for interacting with the media and do a mock “live” media interview. This workshop will serve as a pre-conference to the Legislative Workshop on Nov. 16.
