Leading for Equity- 2 Part Virtual Training

Join us for a timely, NEW, virtual equity training opportunity- FREE for Association Staff

Arizona School Boards Association(ASBA) is proud to announce the upcoming launch of our new “Leading for Equity” curriculum. We are offering you, as state school board association leaders, the opportunity to experience the workshop and materials – our new “Leading for Equity Workbook” – FREE in hopes that you will provide feedback. (You may also be interested in sharing these resources and the training with your member districts in the future!)

This online event, open only to school boards association staff, will be held Oct. 26 and Oct. 27 from 10 a.m.- 1 p.m. (PT) each day, allowing for folks to participate in the training and still get in a half-day “at the office” regardless of time zone.

The curriculum builds upon our Leading for Equity Framework, released in 2016. The new Leading for Equity Workbook provides opportunities for self-reflection, self-assessment and action planning. District leaders will be provided a framework for moving the needle of educational equity while engaging in thought provoking activities designed to assess their current efforts, opportunities and successes. Participants will leave with a better understanding of their role in progressing education equity as well as tools to promote this work within their district. This curriculum is targeted to school board members, superintendents and other members of the district leadership team.  The training can be delivered in two three-hour sessions or as a daylong, six-hour training.

Fill out the form below to register. If there are others in your association who you think would be interested in attending, please invite them to attend as well.
