What is the ASBA Black Alliance?
A dedicated group within the Arizona School Boards Association focused on enhancing educational opportunities and outcomes for Black students. The Alliance works to support the role of school boards in driving equity and excellence in education for Black students across Arizona.

Promoting a deeper understanding of equity and its role in education. - Improving Service Delivery
Enhancing the quality of services provided to ASBA members, particularly around issues of equity. - Leadership Recruitment
Encouraging the recruitment of leaders who reflect the diversity of their communities. - Access to Allies
Increasing access to allies who support public education for underrepresented students. - Cultural Competence
Promoting cultural and social competence among education leaders and partners.

Membership Types
- Regular Membership
For currently serving school board members on any ASBA school district member board. - Associate Membership
For administrators, educators, and former board members from ASBA member school districts. - Friends of the Alliance & Honorary Members
For individuals who support the purposes and goals of the Alliance, including community and business allies.
