Lupe Castro
Governmental relations associate
Lupe Castro is the governmental relations associate at the Arizona School Boards Association. She first joined ASBA as a governmental relations intern in 2022 and returned to the team in 2024. In her role, she develops weekly legislative session updates for members, organizes advocacy campaigns and supports the creation of ASBA’s Political and Legislative Agenda by consolidating member proposals into a unified platform.
Lupe is passionate about bridging the gap between public schools and the state Legislature to ensure every student has access to the support and resources they need. Outside of work, she enjoys attending concerts, learning to crochet and exploring new parts of Phoenix.
