Makenna McCartney
Conferences and events manager
Makenna serves as the ASBA conferences and events manager, where she has been part of the team since 2025. She plays a key role in planning and coordinating ASBA’s conferences, workshops and professional learning events that support school board members and advance public education throughout Arizona.
With a strong commitment to educational equity, Makenna is driven by a belief that every student deserves access to high-quality learning opportunities. Her work helps ensure ASBA events are purposeful, engaging and aligned with the needs of member districts across the state.
A fan of Arizona’s local culture, Makenna enjoys spending her free time exploring coffee shops, reading and connecting with friends.
